Writing Articles

Of course I have read articles that have said absolutely nothing. I've also spent from $9.00 to $69.00 for an e-book only to find a bunch of vague writing that was useless as well. Thankfully, you wont be that way.

Article Structuring
There are a few important elements you should use in writing articles that are very important. The first being your key words. Too many and the search engines will consider you as spamming.

As a rule, your first key word should only be present from 10%-15% of the article. Which means that in a 400 word article, your main key word should be used only 4-6 times. Less than that and search engines will consider it as unimportant and will give your article a low rating.

This is important even to those of you who are just beginning and are writing articles only for promoting an affiliate product. The idea being is that if a person who does have a website and likes what they read, they will be more apt to use it on their site. Which is the whole idea of submitting to article directories

Also you should place you main key word within the first 90 characters you write. Include it as well in the title of your article as this tells the spiders what to look for when they “reads” the rest of it. Smart little critters, aren't they. Oh, this includes key word phrases as well, like the title of this article, “Writing Articles”.

Use a good word processor like Open Office to help you with your spelling check. What I do is write what I want to say on paper first, then I can rewrite, change around and scratch out what doesn't flow correctly. After I have the rough draft written, I will then type it out in Open Office. For me this makes it a whole lot easier when writing articles.





Resource Box

Finally we come to the resource box. This is where you can write a little something about yourself,or something about your site or your affiliates site. Be sure to include your name as well. After all, it is an original piece of art that you wrote. This also makes your article as copyright.

Most importantly add the URL address, also called the link, of where you want your readers to go. Be creative in your resource box so as to intrigue your readers to click your link.
