Marketing Tools You Need
Marketing Tools you Need
Email Account
On this I would suggest that you remember that you are building and growing a business. As such it might do well not to use a free account such as Hotmail or Yahoo.
If you have a web site then you have an business email account already an thus, does reflect your business. It will also probably be a POP3 which means you can use Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express on your computer instead of having to log in to your administration account each time to use it. This may be one of the most important marketing tools you have.
Keyword Research Tool
This is mentioned in Getting Started. There is an excellent research tool on that page put out by Ken Evoy of SiteSell.com and he doesn't charge you to use it. In fact he encourages it's use for he loves to help other people out. It is near the bottom of that page. An absolute mut have marketing tools.
Website and a Domain Name
Many who are veterans of affiliate marketing say that you should have a separate web site and domain name for each niche affiliate program you wish to promote. Want to know what I say? Well I'm going to tell you anyway. They are right. Hey if it works why change it especially when it has been proven over and over again.
They wouldn't be where they are if they didn't know what they were doing. Right? Of course I am. Best to have your own web site to capture your potential customer name and email address BEFORE sending them to your client. That way you can build your business as well as theirs.
Cloaking Software
There will be many other tools you will come across to help you in your business. One will be an affiliate cloaking software which I just happen to have. What it does is re-do your affiliate link so that unscrupulous people wont steal your sale by putting their own ID in and others wont delete your ID from your affiliate link.
And believe me there are people of such low caliber who do just that. We also are using re-direct pages now to combat theft of our sales. It too cloaks your link by going to a page that says “redirect, please wait one moment”, or something to that degree. (I'm sure you have seen them) before taking you to the page intended.
The tools mentioned are just the bare basic to help get you started on your dream of independence. There is a lot of stuff to learn in building your business; but just take one step at a time and soon you will see your dreams become a reality. To Quote Patric Chan, “You Chan Do It!” That is his trade phrase. Pretty catchy is it not? I wonder what YOU will come up with?
Another very important marketing tools is the autoresponder. Check it out following this link.
